I believe the Fastman offers both a 50mm & a 68mm, although with the 318, the 68mm only sucks more fuel, with no appreciable power increase - Fastman even says as much.

So what gains DOES such a ported throttle body add?

For $50 more, here a 52mm body as well!  http://www.ebay.com/itm/DODGE-JEEP-52MM-BORED-PORTED-THROTTLE-BODY-MAGNUM-318-5-2-360-5-9-1996-2003-/251379104458?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a875cbaca&vxp=mtr

i think it would just let the engine breath a bit better which could help it make a bit more power. i think from the factory the throttle bodies have a tapered bore to them and after they have been bored 50mm straight through.

I have the largest one he offers on the 2000, and its probably not quite enough for what it is.

He is a great guy to talk with and very knowledgeable. Shot him and email and he will tell you what you need.

But remember, it can't breath in good if it can't breath out good, so work on exhaust then intake. Factory exhaust manifolds are not great, then you get to reduced performance of the y pipe and a 20 year old cat.... it all needs some loving down there.

Well, that's HALF done!  I already have true duals done, with Magnaflow hi-po cats (PLURAL) and glasspacks (plural) to go with it.  :13:  I'm "contemplating" a set of headers for the next tax refund...

Brain trust - weigh in!

If it works for a 5.2, I'd be interested!

Not had a chance to test them on the 5.2, its been having computer issues so I am trying to resolve those so I can sell it.

But I do have 1 or 2 of these for sell. :13:

I actually just got a 68.5mm Fastman for my Jeep (287 Magnum); thing is, he recommends the 50.29mm (http://www.thefastman.com/throttlebodies5x.php) for the 318 Magnum.  Not sure why the bigger engine gets the smaller throttle body, but HEY - that's why we pay HIM the big bucks to engineer, test, and build them!

Sometimes I really hate working off my tablet and phone.

I took the RC for a spin around the neighborhood, and watched the gas gauge needle move!  :o   It's  times like this, when I think I'm ALREADY running a 53 kilometer throttle body...  :confused2:

thats exactly how I felt after I put the 58MM tb on the 2000.... that gas gauge moves fast now.

You remember that commercial where the guy has a sports car as the gas station, he fills up then revs the car 3 times and is out of gas again? yeah I feel like that sometimes.

But man it moves down the road  :headbang:
