Well I have yet to figure out if this is good or bad, but I was surfing ebay goofing off and found a 93 ramcharger with no reserve.

I watched it, been looking for a trail rig since my others are either going to be too nice or 2wd. I figure that sounds like a decent ride, just needs some work. I threw a bid of $610 on there and I KNEW, I just KNEW someone would out bid me. My guess was it would go for 1200 or so.

Nope it went for $610. Now I have to figure out how to get it up to Dallas and figure out where I am going to park it. The guy said it did not shift out of 1st but I do not know what all he tried or looked at. But I will have to trailer it home I am sure.

lol. looks like you got one hell of a deal there. if i could get something like that for $610 i would be happy even if it was having transmission issues.

thats my optimistic view right now. the pics are not very good so have to wait and see. If I can get ahold of him soon I might try to make a run and get it before the weekend meet, if not I am going to try and get Ron or Nick or someone to go get it and hold it for me.

Been sitting for 3 years so I am sure its not tagged or inspected and needs a lot of little things. Maybe I can get it running to have a 4x4 for the winter. I don't care to drive the 2000 in ice and snow if we get any this year.

ya. i notice the pics were not that great but i figured since it was as far south as it was there would not be too much rust. at $610 if you only have to spend $1000 or less into it to get it street legal you are doing great. i know up here even to buy a cheap car that is ready to go usually cost about $1500.

The 91 I am currently working on cost me 2500 and it was not even a magnum and needed work as well, granted I did drive it home. Minus the tank leak and the cruise and A/C not working it did pretty good. I am curious to see what shape this one is in and what it will take to get her going on the trails.

I'll help him get it away from the seller.  The worst we can do is move it to College Station until we solve the transmission question then we might just drive it to Dallas.

I know Im wrong direction for ya but if you need a place to hide it I have plenty room.....

I appriciate it, I have not heard back from the seller yet. once I do I will figure out what's going to happen. I don't have room for it yet, I guess I will have to make room for it in my back yard or something. it would be nice if I could keep it street legal and drive it sometimes too, then I can sell the 91 Buick and recoup some of the cost.

I am worse than a kid at Christmas wanting to see what I just got lol.

Ryan told me it's only about 50 miles from my house.  I think he wants it NOW...

We may see it at Hidden Falls this weekend.

I am trying to figure out every witch what to do it that won't break the bank. No luck yet. The biggest issue being that I only have the durango that can pull stuff, and the wife needs it to haul kids around. Beyond that I am not 100% sure how happy the durango with its 4.7l would be pulling a ramcharger around.

Which also leads to another issue of the durango is all I have so I would have to trailer it down using it anyways. Granted with a car hauler and trailer brakes it should not be bad stopping or weight, more just getting it on down the road. Take it out of OD and do 60 or so it should be ok.

More than likely I am going to have to give up on that thought and have Ron get it next week then take a slower more planned approach to it. Once the 2000 is back home and finished it would not be near as hard to deal with.

Well I hunted high and low. I figured it would cost anywhere from 170-200 just in gas for me to make the trip to go get it. I found a company willing to ship it for 275. So to me that means it cost 75 extra just to ship it down and save me, Ron, and whoever else a day + headache of driving and transporting the sucker.

Lets see if they can get it here in time for me to poke around with it. I figure worst case first is about all you need going up hills lol  :evil6:

and Ron has a winch
