General Discussion / Re: cruise control

I ended up going to radio shack and buying switches an d building brackets and installing in the stock location on the steering wheel. Even went so far as adding an led on them to indicate if the system power was turned on. Works like a champ. Not as pretty as the oem but they work as good and has more functions than the stock ones.

I have power to the switches and nothing out. Replaced the bad last summer for a speed issue so I don't think it is that. 25 inches of vacuum at the servo so is not that. Shows no power at the pcm pin 49 with ignition on and cruise switch on. Check power at switch connector in steering wheel and have power which tells me that the flickering is still good and leads me to the switches being bad. I tested the switches with a multimeter as per the fsm and they do not pass. All of the above leads me to the switches them selves as the culprit. Got any other suggestions. I am fairly well mechanically inclined so ain't scared of almost anything with tools as long as I have some kind of direction to go.

93 D350 with a Three spoke steering wheel. Switches are no good and not able to locate new or even good used switches dodge pn 56006422 or standard on caa-1038. I seen somewhere that some one had made their own using after market parts and home made steering wheel brackets. If some has a list and instructions I would be most thankful. Any help out there...

I haven't owned a Ramcharger for several years. Got to old and beat up to keep working on them haha. I do still run a first gen in the form of a 93 d350 Dually with over 200000 miles. Love these old trucks. Always run dodge so can understand the brand loyalty. I just appreciate being in the forum to see what is being done to them and maybe even learn something new. Thanks folks.

My nephew said he would do but it won't be real quick lol.

I have a NEPHEW that does graphic design for a living. If you can come up with any ideas of something you might like I can see what he can do for it.
