I will fill in the back story later, but here are some new pics after the soda blasting is done and also with the new sport grille.

Its really amazing what that baking soda did, and how it got everywhere  ???

I am also amazed to see the previous work done on the truck body wise that I could not see before. The body shop looked at it real quick and loved what they were going to have to work with so thats all I need to know

forgot to mention I went ahead and put the new headlights on it for now. I still have to fix the wiring as the new ones are the "sport" headlights with 2 bulbs but they look and work soo much better.

2012 Dodge Perl Blue. I have to do a few things then I will take it to the body shop next week to get started.

One of the things is to get the 91 back to the house after its been painted with primer.

well I have not done much, its kind of in limbo waiting for the 91 to finish at the body shop so it can go in.

I did find a good buy on some infinity speakers and I have the front pair installed. The rear pair should get in this week.

I also broke down and bought a new alpine head unit. Man it sounds a lot better with the new deck. It was not too bad price wise minus the steering wheel controls which cost a small fortune but are well worth it. I also had them tint all the windows and that makes a difference as well.

Got the rear speakers installed... Man it sounds good  :great:

I don't have any subs or amps because I don't listen to stuff that loud, but its plenty good for what I need.

The new window tint makes a big difference too. Talking with the guys that did it, they told me the factory tint is tinted glass and has no UV or heat blocking in it. That's why I had them do the back, it made it a little darker but it got the UV blocked and 41% heat blocked.

I never knew before now that factory tint does not block UV/ Heat. I need to get my durango done now.

So I might have gone a little crazy  :icon_scratch:   :dontknow:

I bought a 2005 Ram 1500 Axle for $500. 3.92 gears posi-track, disk brakes. I need some parts for the disk brakes, but it has the stuff to make it work.

The bad news, the spring perch's are not in the right spot.  :violent1:

Good thing I knew that before buying it. These go for like $800 at the junk yards, this guy bought the wrong gear and has a 4x4 so he could not use it and had to eat the loss.

I dropped it off yesterday at a welding shop, they are moving the spring perch's where I need them. :13:

After thats done I need to get the disk brake parts and verify that I can use my existing driveshaft, then I should have fun installing it.

The D44 that it has seems to be hard to find parts for here in the USA, so I felt better getting a 9 1/4 under it. Its a bit more work the way I went, but it gives me disk brakes and a posi-track rear end.

I hope the 3.92's help wake the sucker up... its a bit slow right now off the line.

the bigger issue is it went from 245/70/R16 to 265/75/R17. I did not change the tire size, but I like the look of the bigger tires.

Sweet axle is done and back in the back of the truck.... was $165 and they had to move the spring and shock mounts.

I am excited, sadly I don't have all the parts yet, need disk brake parts and the ubolts.

Time to shop while at work and see what I can get done, would be cool to get it installed this weekend.

Anyone have a need for a Mexican Dana 44? lol
