That kick in the pants feeling was a bit of a give away also.   :headbang:

yep maybe some 1 3/4" super turbo mufflers....... I promise it will be quiet after that....may also have to detune the engine lol  :tongue3:

lol yeah I don't think its worth de-tuning.

Maybe I should just focus on sound proofing the inside  :laughing7:

I have not, But when I hear a problem with my truck i just turn up the stereo and it fixes everything  :great:

this one is very loud, the radio can fix it... but it might damage your hearing in the process.

No radio is gonna fix the 2005, that needs other parts  :evil6:

Changed the oil yesterday, and worked on the collector bolts (again). I added lock washers this time, going to see if that helps.

it is quieter without all the exhaust leaks.

I also think I got the power steering leak fixed, though I still have a small oil leak coming from the back top of the engine I have to track down. Once I get that done I am going to pressure wash it all and get it clean again.

I drove it today, and taking it on a road trip this weekend.  Its amazing the power the thing has... I mean you think the 5.7 hemi's with 360hp are movers... this thing I am looking down and I am doing 90 passing people thinking I am doing 75!!!!

Its probably a good thing I don't drive it daily anymore lol  :headbang:

Fine thread bolts and self locking nuts (not nylon) work good for header collectors.... just using fine thread bolts & lock washers has worked for me

thats a good thought to try if these back off.

I made to to Amarillo tonight, but it was a trip. Had issues with trailer lights (not sure if it was truck or trailer or both), and it was windy and somewhere along the way I lost one of my tail light covers  :angry4:

like the one I bought new for $500 from Mexico side lost   :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4:

I have some red tape on it till I get back home, then I have to figure out what I want to do. I have 1 spare set.

I remember the discussion some time back about them possibly being minivan lights.
I bet you wish they were now.

That sucks for sure  :character0029:

Well the cummins project is going to be on a extended money hold due to the engine being a PITA.

At this point I need to do a few more tweaks on the old girl to get her ready to pull the trail rig a few more times.

The steering has always been a little off, but seems to have gotten worse lately. I notice it while driving it, and its just that much worse while pulling a trailer.

I rebuilt the front end and did new Tie Rods, ball points, and idler arm last year. So at this point the only things it could be are the pitman arm and gear box?

I am thinking of a new gear box and pitman arm:

the SB2 should work?

If its improves things a lot I might get a SB1 for the trail rig.
