Hmmm....I thought the registration would be based on weight plus load capacity like our trucks.

Rumor has it that the Death Trailer has a official weight........ :017:

Besides the two members here that know the weight, does anyone want to venture a guess at the official weight of the trailer as pictured above? Ready to rock and roll. :)

Sorry I was out of town this past weekend. 2280 is the official weight of the trailer. 7k towing capacity leaves room for 4720 +/- 500lbs for tongue weight. Not bad! Although Keystone still needs to go on a diet.

Damn I was only 20 lbs off... thats not bad!!!  :13:

now you just need a truck that can tow 7k lbs.

Single set of brakes on axels at the moment. We shall see how they hold up, but fortunately I have a light foot.  :steeringwheel:

with your 1/2 ton and the 5.3l it does not matter what kind of foot you have... you have a light engine  :laughing7:

as long as you don't go too fast its fine... I still want to upgrade mine to dual axle brakes... but its not nearly as important now that i have the cummins towing it.

Unfortunately, I don't even have 5.3.  :017:

But the little sipper V8 has done well thus far. Low and slow once or twice a year.  :steeringwheel:
