Ha ha, thanks Mat.  A lot to learn still but thanks.

I have reading article after article about relays and feel like I've been reading another language. It's just 95% over my head.  Do these relays just get wired inline or is something removed and it takes its place? I even read an article specifically wiring in a relay to aux reverse lights with a switch to turn it on inside. Had to wire in a diode. Wtf are those? So confused now.

Next time you are here I can show you how to wire up relays .... super simple and so many uses

General Discussion / Happy Trails KeystoneSmooth :(
October 07, 2016, 11:52:06 AM
A terrible accident occurred yesterday. An incredible life was lost for no good reason and we will all be a bit incomplete from this day on. Lance was 30 years old and has a beautiful wife (Samantha) and a darling little boy (Barrett). Unfortunately one poor decision was all it took to end a wonderful persons most excellent life.

Lance lost his life in a motorcycle accident some time after midnight while riding to a spot that brought him peace and where he could clear his mind. He never arrived and was not found until the following morning. He will be greatly missed.

Lance was like a brother to me and there will always be a spot in my mind that can never be filled. He was truly one of the best, nicest and most genuine people I have ever met. Many prayers are needed for all his family and friends.

Happy Trails Lance ...  there are awesome trails in heaven :(

So I ran my first few beads today and I have to say beads is an accurate assessment. Did the flux core to get my feet wet. Splatter was the word for today Lol.  Trying to get it to puddle. Any hints? Also should the wire be touching the item? Seems to want to puddle with it not touching.

Thanks for any input.

turn the heat up

add enough speed so that it is not pushing your hand back

adjust as necessary and go get a bottle of C25 and some good wire :)

Thanks, I do like the old school look. Do you have a good source for parts? I have always worked on my dads mustang, and there are a million places to get parts for that, but I am struggling to find a good place to get parts for the truck.

-Trevor

It really just depends on what you need. Restoration type parts can be found @ LMC trucks or Ebay. Wear and tear stuff and general maintenance items will be readily available at your local auto parts store or rockauto. welcome to the site . That is a nice truck

so what you are saying is we are going to take turns having a tow rope hooked to you onto our trailers to help you get up the hills :-D

its that or push you and I don't have a brush guard on my trucks so I am not doing that!

we can bailing wire an old mud tire to your grille... it will probably be the only way
