Now that's a mega cool cart. What brand is it? I take it that's a 4 stroke not a 2 like mine. Gives me some ideas for mine. ;)

Specifically it's a: 1996 EZ-Go Gas GXT 804D Truck (Tuff 1) Robin Engine Mod: EH29C and yes it's a 4 stroke. It's even got a dump bed :13: and some redneck Florida camo.

I have the sudden desire (but NOT the money! ) to toss the 318 in my RC, and drop THIS in instead.  :headbang:

THAT would be a noteworthy build!  :steeringwheel:

He says with incredible understatement...

Hey thank you for your service Jake! Seems like this current administration has forgotten about there being a war going on over there.  You and your buddies are always in my prayers.

Welcome to the site! :occasion14:

That would be cool to read.  I also liked the how-to section on the old RCC site.

Vehicle Help / Re: Weird Electrical Issue
November 05, 2013, 11:38:41 AM
Took care of this issue when I got back from Africa. I charged the battery before I left to see if it would drain down in the 17 days I was gone.  When I got back I tried to start the truck and it turned over just fine, just wouldn't fire. I discoverer that I was out of gas  :disgust: Sooo, I added a gallon or so from my garage to what was in there and it fired right up.  I drove it to the station and put about $20 in it and drove it to work the next day.  When I got in it to come home the battery acted like it didn't want to turn the engine over but it fired.  On the way home my radio started doing the funky stuff (not music) as well as my turn signals didn't work, etc.  I got home, took the alternator off and carried it down to Advance.  They put it on their tester and it wasn't putting out anything. So I bought a remain 78amp and took it home.  Paid $43 with my military discount.  Installed that puppy, charged the battery and it's been working great ever since. :steeringwheel:

Thanks for everyone's tips on this.

I want to wager you still have charcoal in the emulsion tubes and airbleeds.

if you found coal sucked up thru the line to carb why would you hook that can back up?  even with a filter to catch some? :dontknow:

if you did not remove any core plugs from passages in the main body and run a pipe cleaner or wire thru them, the coal will stay, carb clean and a soak will not eat it away or melt it to come out...it can only be removed manualy..from my experiance anyways.

i will wager carb problem at this point, all the spark in the world will not make it run with out gas getting into cyls.

I manually cleaned a LOT of that crap out of there. I'm pretty confident I got it all out.  As for the reason I left it hooked up it's because I thought it needed to be hooked up for the carb & tank to vent properly.  I've read on the other RC forum that those that had disconnected it had flooding issues to the bowl on the carb.  Their remedy was to reinstall it with a filter inline to catch all the charcoal that would be sucked up the vacuum hose.  Mine is definitely catching the charcoal.  I don't see any way for it to travel any farther than the filter.

It may still be a carb issue but I'm leaning towards an electric issue. Currently I'm not driving it enough to warrant tearing in to it right now.  I will when I have the time/money though.  Thanks for your input. Every little bit helps!

Just put a set of General Grabber AT2's on my wife's Volvo XC70  :great: I'm hoping one day to put a suspension lift on it from a company called BadSwede. Of course then I'd have to go larger on the tires...Yep, I'm a redneck.

Hey Guys, I'm looking to buy this Hooker Competition Header-Back Exhaust System from Summit but I need to know if the header flange will attach to my Flowtech headers.  The flange looks the same.  Has anyone had any experience doing this setup?

Haha, yeah. Man, I'll tell you, when I have a good meal like that it just makes me want to get in the woods all the more. I don't cook it much because my wife really doesn't like it.  Just me and my sons really.  They do like the sausage though but I ain't making sausage out of my backstraps or tenderloins!
