Title: Removing a 3-inch body lift.
Post by: numenorian101 on January 14, 2014, 08:55:32 AM
So I bought my Ramcharger a few years back and it had a 3 inch body lift on it. Does anyone have any experience removing these and replacing them with a new set of bushings? What all would I have to change on the truck in order to have this done?

You would need the shorter original body bolts for starters.  On my truck, I have the column shifter and it had to be lengthened. The fan shroud may have been cut or removed.  IN my case, I moved the whole radiator and shroud down.  May have to adjust the bumpers and filler hose to the gas tank.

I agree, you will need the stock bolts that are shorter.

I just used a good polly bushing kit for my 85 truck getting the 91 cab..same bushing but different bolts.

the RC kit is the same as mine but would have 4 more pucks for the rear bed area of a RC.

here are the bushing for a 2x truck fit and work really nice. less than 110 bux off ebay
