DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) is selling 40 buses at auction. Many of them have Cummins diesels in them. The 1999 buses that are not LNG have 661 cubic inches and 280 hp.

There was a 855 ci Cummins, rebuilt in 1985 and stored in a steel case that sold for $850. It was rigged up as a truck engine, and had a power steering unit attached. (straight 6)
Core charge on that engine is several times what it sold for. It might have been too big for a Jeep though.
