Ok, thanks for the advice. Thats pretty much what i was thinking as well. Im trying to get my wife to tow the ramcharger back from california but she is not to fond of the idea.

So if she doesnt im just gonna set my truck up so it can handle stuff better. Did pretty well last time for being completely stock.

Vehicle Help / 99 ram v10 lift questions
September 22, 2014, 05:52:33 AM
I am looking to lift my truck 3-6" not sure on exactly what i can afford or what will work best and be the simplest. Just looking for some advice on where to get the parts what parts and how high i can go without really exploding the cost.

1999 Ram 2500 V10 5 speed 4x4

I am thinking the cheepest thing would be a set of front coil springs and some blocks in the back. However the truck already has a stock block with overloads in the back. Not sure of the exact size of everything. And i cant get measurements as im on the other side of the world.

So any tips or places to look for a good price would be greatly appreciated.

Ya i got a higher performance coil instead of the stock replacements that are always crapping out on me. Then i had gas in my oil the secondary float on tr holley was way to high amd fuel was just dumping into manifold i could actually see t building up in the bottom of the carb. Put on the headers i won at ramjam. Then it ran like shit couldnt figure it out finally adjusted the timing. And it has been running perfect since then. To bad i finished on my last day home...

Vehicle Help / Re: Gas mixing with oil?

Went underneath and checked that hole its still open and there was no suction at the gas cap. And i go back to texas tommorow but the truck is running great for the time no more time to see if this is still gonna persist as an issue.

Hmmm i think it might be i removed my charcoal canister and i think i plugged the hole when i went through my fuel system last year. Im gonna check my floats in the carb in the morning ill check that out as well if my floats arent causing it to flood.

Not my gas tank, my engine oil is like 40% gas or something i drained like 2 and a half gallons of it out of the oil pan just now and my motor is devoid of oil any thicker than water.

Probably not but cops in cali dont really care as long as your driving safely and not being a jackass.

Truck ran better than ever after i installed that 600cfm holley 4160 with electric choke. A little tuning and it was running very well and much more stable and consistant with no backfiring than with the edelbrock.

And we welded the plate onto the bumper. We still need to weld the bottom but its not coming off anymore.

Well since my phone updated and delete my post... Heres a 2nd try. Yesterday my spark cut out after doing 5500-6000 rpms up a steep grade for about 45 seconds. Towed it home and had to wait cause the parts store were closed for christmas. So we started fitting those headers which has turned into a simple but long process of cut and try to fit. The size out pipe on the exaust was a little to big so we took the bell from the original exhaust manifold hookup we cut out and welde it on backwards to make an adapter.

My spark issue... Does anyone know what ohms are axceptable for a coil i think i might have rosted it. The distibutor and plugs and wires all seem to be working but i have an incredibly weak spark an am only firing on like 3-4 cylinders. Ill put up a couple pintures in a coile minutes.
