Nah, never dealt with one before. Looks brand new though. Is there a way to test it?

Got the steering shaft on, new distributor tomorrow before i head out. Having serious troubleshooting issues with a random intermittent non-start type problem. Sometimes it cranks and will shut straight down. Sometimes it wont run at all. Sometimes it'll go 400 miles no problem. Its driving me nuts.

Im all for pushing the limits, i dont even mind breaking stuff, however i do have to drive home so like windshields and stuff id like to keep intact and id like to not roll. Lol ive got plenty of ideas for recovery points and bumpers its just time that i need to invest to do it.

So, what is the difficulty on these trails? Ive got no winch and really no tow points at this time. Usually use the shackle hangers. Ah and no lockers.

Most likely just bearings in the bottom, shouldnt even need to turn the crank

Ah man, sorry to hear that. Like you said prolly floated the valve. I wouldn't be certain til you pop the head but the block should be fine, prolly toasted the piston crown though and most likely roughed up the combustion chamber. But ive seen guys drop valves all the time on the dirt track, new piston, rod, bearings, valve setup, deburr and maybe rework the combustion chamber, worst case bore the cylinder. After that you should be good to go. If it stalled under high revs itll be worse obviously. What kinda material are your valves?

At least you had to drain it, mine would drain itself and i had to stop to fill it up with water more often than gas. Thankfully thats been taken care of.
