General Discussion / White House Down movie
August 26, 2013, 01:07:06 PM
Went to see a movie last night with my daughter.  White House Down with Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum.  Also had James Woods and man is he getting old.  Anyways, it is a really good movie with a lot of action and very funny.  Jamie Foxx really keeps you laughing even with the serious overtones.  Definately worth the dollar movie admission.   :great:

News / Lisa Robin Kelly is dead.
August 15, 2013, 03:55:57 PM
Saw that the hot blonde sister of Kelso on "That 70's Show" died.  Didn't realize that she was that old though.  If you scroll down to the bottom, there are some pictures from recent years and YIKES.  Alcohol doesn't do a body good.   No telling what else she was doing.  Meth, heroin, prostitution.... ??

Site Help / Why won't my smilies work??
July 21, 2013, 07:02:41 PM
My computer was slowing down so much that I reloaded everything a lil while back and ever since, my lil smilies won't work.  The only one I can do is by typing colon/ end parenthesis like this one :)

I'm sure it is my old Windows XP since it won't update anymore since Windows stopped service on it about a month or so ago.  I can't even get the service pack 2 which it says I'm missing to download.  How can I over ride them to type them in manually?

This was posted on RCC today.  Thought it was real interesting.  It would be nice to get him to be a member and attend Ram Jam.  That would make for an even more memorable event.

I've been seeing quite a few guys going with the Rough Country lift.  The price is considerably cheaper and I'm sure that is the main reason BUT is it a decent lift?  Anyone with one of these setup and used that can attest to it PRO or CON?  Considering it for my budget build on the 76 RC.  Anything over 4" starts adding $$ fast for required additional parts.

Documentation / Carter Fuel System Diagnostics
May 27, 2013, 08:52:11 PM
Don't ask why, but I found this very interesting and informative diagnostic guide from Carter.  There is also some bulletins from Carter as well.

Figured it could help somebody out ahem now or in the future.

General Discussion / Rain rain rain.... wow!
May 25, 2013, 01:15:02 PM
Wow... did you guys in Texas get slammed by all that rain yesterday going into this morning?  San Antonio is really cracking down on people going through the low water crossings.  Yeah, safety first, but seems like every puddle has barricades.  If you go around them it's ticket time.  Freeways were closed down, access roads were closed down, and abandoned vehicles everywhere.  Lots of accidents too.  Just too crazy but we really needed it.  Can't remember the last time it rained so much.

Site Help / Background design for homepage
May 07, 2013, 06:52:28 PM
I've noticed that we are "primarily" the Texas chapter in cognito.  So how about the Texas and US flag facing each other in the background with some miscellaneous scattered vehicle emblems like Dodge, Plymouth, Ramcharger, Ram, Powerwagon, Jeep, Magnum and the like.

General Discussion / JOKES

Figured we could start a joke thread.  Just didn't want to waste this one that my Dad sent me.  Enjoy...

Cooter & Gomer

Stanley died in a fire and his body was burned pretty badly. The morgue needed someone to identify the body, so they sent for his two best deer hunting friends, Cooter and Gomer. The three men had always hunted and fished together and were long time members of a hunt camp.
Cooter arrived first, and when the mortician pulled back the sheet, Cooter said, 'Yup, his face is burned up pretty bad. You better roll him over.' The mortician rolled him over and Cooter said, 'Nope, ain't Stanley.'

The mortician thought this was rather strange, So he brought Gomer in to confirm the identity of the body. Gomer looked at the body and said, 'Yup, he's pretty well burnt up, Roll him over.' The mortician rolled him over and Gomer said, 'No, it ain't Stanley.'

The mortician asked, 'How can you tell?' Gomer said, 'Well, Stanley had two ass-holes.'
'What! He had two ass-holes?' asked the mortician.
'Yup, we never seen 'em, but everybody used to say: 'There's Stanley with them two ass-holes.'

Hey Ryan,  did you guys feel or hear the explosion from West Texas?  I know you live south of Dallas and the explosion was north of Waco.  Pretty scarey stuff.

Fabricator's / Compressor Question
April 18, 2013, 03:50:52 PM
I already mentioned that I bought a new compressor in my build thread.  You guys that use one or own one may know the answer or have an opinion on this topic.  Do I need to use an inline air filter?  I bought a DeWalt Oil Free air compressor.  I plan on using it for an impact gun, air rachet, spray gun for paint, sanding, sand blasting, and airing up tires.  I had read somewhere that an inline filter is needed to remove moisture from the air hose after it leaves the compressor.  However, I do not see anything mentioned in the instructions though.  I sent an email to DeWalt already and am waiting for a reply but I wanted your opinions.  I went to Northern Tools, Lowes and Home Depot looking at these and  are they expensive and I'm not sure which to get.  It looks like they differ on cfm flow.  In case it matters, the compressor has 200 cfm max and 5.0 scfm @ 90 psi actual. So would I go with one at 200 cfm (expensive) or 90 cfm?   I didn't see anything about removing moisture on any filter though.  Help....

Vehicle Help / ROCKAUTO discount code
April 02, 2013, 10:14:40 AM
I didn't see a place to put this so just kinda tucked it in here.  It's a 5% discount at RockAuto for online purchases only.  In the line where it asks you, "How did you hear about us?"  just key in the number 141714509024656.  There is no limit on amount or number of times used even by different people.  This one is good until June 2nd, 2013.   :icon_salut:

Well Danger Dave invited me out for a car show he helped to put together in Lake Hills.  This is a sleepy little town on the back road to Medina Lake.  Though it was small, there were several really nice rides.  Too many Camaros just like any car show and one was even a 454 big block.  Then there were a couple of Mustangs - go figure, one of which was a full race car with roll cage and slicks.  Don't get me wrong, they were nice too.  Since I can only post a few pics at a time, I'll start with Dave's Esther.  It is a 1924 Dodge Touring Car.  It has tilting front windsheild and wooden spoke wheels.  It also is a driver as he took this nice looking woman on a ride but unfortunately she invited her boyfriend along for a ride also.  Oh well - nice try.

I figured we all surf YouTube at one time or another and find an excruciatingly funny or cool video and want to pass it on.  So let's make a thread celebrating this cool site.

Watch a 440 Dodge Pickup lose it's rear axle.... Oh yeah!

News / James Holmes Booby Traps
January 08, 2013, 10:01:14 PM
I was just reading about James Holmes, the shooter at the Dark Knight premier.  It's amazing that no one else got hurt with his elaborate booby traps.  Here's one of the reports I read (2 pages).  Unbelieveable....
