rock auto is good. i just wish there shipping to Canada was a bit cheaper so i wouldn't have to make such a big order from 1 place to save money.

the 2nd gen section of dodge chat has a whole thread for posting rock auto discount codes as people receive the newest ones with the most recent expiry date. those codes can be used by anyone.

I wish their shipping in the USA was cheaper. Sometimes they are $5 cheaper on the part but cost $8-10 to ship. So all said and done cheaper to go get it locally. I have also started using Amazon for some items, when you have the prime account with free 2 day shipping it can save you a lot.

General Discussion / Ramcharger.net

We have not really discussed it a whole lot about plans for the site.

I think its been decided that we don't want our ducks in a row, as it makes them easier to shoot :laughing7: , but we still need to get some basics down.

I bought the domain back in Feb when we heard of the change at RCC and kept it hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. After talking with Sam I decided to launch it and see what happened. But I want to explain a few things:

1) I need help, I have never ran a forum before. I am busy and don't have days to devote to moderate and tweak everything that needs done. Anyone wanting to help please let me know what you want to do and we will get it done.

2) I don't plan on charging. Period. I have a small web hosting business, so the personal cost to run the site is near 0 for me. With that being the case I see no need to charge for vendor space, or for advanced membership. If you want vendor space, let me know and I will set it up. When I get some more time I plan to setup a system so that confirmed valid users (people who have posted x many post?) can have a ramcharger.net email address as well. I am not sure about everyone else, but I thought it was a cool idea.

3) I want this community owned. While legally I "own" the domain and provide the server its hosted on, I don't want to be the owner of the site. Sam did a great job on RCC but its a lot for 1 person to do. We need to get people involved and spread the load out so its easier for us to keep everything up and going. In doing so we will make sure it stays community owned and live for as long as we want to.

If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them, as always I am open to suggestions, changes, and any help I can get   :dontknow: :dontknow:

its only been up a month or so. We are trying to get the word out, but it takes time.

Of course we are also trying to not get banned off RCC too  :laughing7:

Its still a work in progress, so as always if you see something that needs fix'n let me know and we will get it fixed.

Man, I put a lot of pics on there that I don't think I have access to anymore. That sucks. It was nice to have my build threads to remember stuff by.

I agree, I had started moving stuff over here but had not got it all done yet. Not to mention the how to section and all the other post to search on.

I have no clue, talked with Sam and he agrees they forgot to renew the domain.

I can't imagine why they have not renewed it yet, surely they know.

Bad thing is I don' know any of the new owners contact info to try and make sure they know.

'having ducks in a row' is highly over-rated and makes it much easier to kill two birds with one stone

I would like to see how that could work, I am not that good at skipping stones.

I brought the website and domain.... I had really hoped someone else was bringing the ducks to be honest. ;D

I am not a super organized person, just want to make sure we try to make everyone feel at home here.

well I have not done much, its kind of in limbo waiting for the 91 to finish at the body shop so it can go in.

I did find a good buy on some infinity speakers and I have the front pair installed. The rear pair should get in this week.

I also broke down and bought a new alpine head unit. Man it sounds a lot better with the new deck. It was not too bad price wise minus the steering wheel controls which cost a small fortune but are well worth it. I also had them tint all the windows and that makes a difference as well.

We welcome girls with open arms, we welcome almost everyone.... just maybe not with welcome arms, and if you drive a ford (and like it) we require you to at least start on the trail to recover  ;D

Glad to see we are gaining members here.

If anyone sees something that needs to be done to make it a better place just list it somewhere or send a PM to ryan. We will get it configured.

I don't know how it was done on RCC, but we need to start figuring out moderators and getting our ducks in a row.

that was the reason I started this place, there were too many new "issues" with the new owners. This is like a fresh start I guess.

Our best guess is they forgot to renew the domain, but you would think they would have noticed by now. It expired on the 23rd.

I started this a month or so ago, out of growing concerns. I wish we had more data from rcc on here now, but I am sure it will be back up sooner or later.
