well its the only place on the truck that now says dodge.. and I guess technically the Cummins Emblem is chrome too.. but that is an acceptable amount of chrome I believe.

I got her picked up last night. I will get some pics today... its AWSOME!!!!

the only down side is that they did not re-install my gooseneck hitch in the new bed. So now I have to cut a 10" square myself to get that installed.

I called around and it does not seem like anyone will touch those now days. They want to install the new style, but I am not going to pay $800 to upgrade to the new style when the old one works just fine.

I personally will be using my new to me 1500HD. From Marble Falls towing exp, I honestly think that the 50-55 range will be what I can safely do over a long period. I will need to be in 3rd the whole time until we start descending into Moab, where I might be able to slip into OD.

I will most likely be the slow dog on the highways if everyone else is running a diesel.

so what you are saying is we are going to take turns having a tow rope hooked to you onto our trailers to help you get up the hills :-D

its that or push you and I don't have a brush guard on my trucks so I am not doing that!

I am thinking my roll bar/ roll cage needs to come before the trip lol.

and if we need to worry about cops and speed I am sure we will also need to double check trailers and capacities and tow ratings too. DPS love to pull over for that sort of thing.

I have actually been arguing with a  friend about my new trailer. He was convinced I needed a CDL to be able to pull it. But after reviewing and calling DPS I believe I am safe.

What all tow rigs are we going to have on this trip? that is going to determine a lot of how fast we go.

I have drove from Amarillo to Prescott Arizona a few times, but that was without a load and only stopping for fuel. And that was a LONG LONG drive, when I was much younger.  I will agree at least on the sections of I-40 I drove on there are some good up hills that go on and on. I am sure you get on smaller roads and they are worse

I see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!

The fog lights were broke so I ordered replacements for those. He should have the front bumper on today... I am guessing the hood and grille too, so early next week I can pick her up!!

I don't know how much fun the M880 would be to pull on a bumper pull. I think that rates a bigger trailer still!
