I replaced mine with a 78 amp from Advance. That was the only choice besides the 60amp remans.  Anyhow, it's all good now.  Everything is working as advertised! :>)

Saw this Mitsubishi 2800 awd van in Swaziland at the gas station a couple of weeks ago.  Made me miss my man van...

I haven't done much of anything to the 318 rebuild since it got so stinking hot down here in the swamp.  I plan on hitting it hard between hunts when it cools down a bit. It's been sitting in my garage for a few months now with a towel thrown over it to keep out the dust.  I've purchased just about everything I need to put it back together though.  Just waiting for the wx to cool :great:

Judging by his spare, I'd say those are his "street tires."  ;)

Hmmm, maybe.  That spare looks pretty worn though.

I moved here for personal reasons, but it's a friendllier, more low-key site.  I think you'll enjoy it.  8)

Wow, that looks sweet!  I'd put a little more aggressive tire on there though to go with them purty doors. :laughing7:

Wow, that looks great.  I emailed on a really nice 2006 Dodge Ram pickup one time that was really cheap for the truck and got a reply from someone who said they were in the Army and heading overseas.  Said they needed to sell fast and I could send them a cashiers check and he would have it shipped to me in Florida. Smelled too suspicious so I called his unit out in Utah and come to find out, it was a scam.  The guy on the phone said they had gotten about 100 calls for this guy and that he didn't exist.  I reported it to CL.

Not saying this is a scam and that's a great price if it ain't. Just make sure you do your homework if you bite!

did you also test what the voltage output at the alternator was. maybe there is a bad connection between the alternator and the battery.  if possible it might be a good idea to clean up your ground connections.

Hmmm, no I didn't do that.  May be something to do tomorrow. It's easy enough to remove though.  I may just take it down to put it on their tester.  Not real confident in the parts store fellas though cause sometimes I think they just want to sell you the part.

I honestly believe that "room in the garage" is just a myth perpetrated by the home builders. I have more junk in mine than I can even talk about.  Problem is, every time I go to clean it out, I always find something I need and add it back to the pile...

And if I do decide to go ahead and get rid of whatever it is, I find I'll eventually need it somewhere down the road and kick myself in the shorts for throwing it out... I think it's some kind of sickness. :017:

did you ever check to see if the alternator is charging the battery with a voltage meter? i would almost be wondering if the battery might be on its way out. i have heard that if you completely drain a battery it usually shortens the batteries life by half.

Yeah, I had the truck running and hooked up a tester to it.  It wasn't putting out hardly anything.  I will have them check it at the auto parts store though just to be sure.  Looks like the culprit though.
