Yeah I know man its just that I am still in China and I can't flash cash at this moment. I should be returning in about two weeks  I was waiting for one to send my pictures. I am sure that they sold their rides. Its okay because I have a few others in the area. I am not looking for gems. I'll find something.

UPDATE: Well I have emailed both of the owners. First, they were talking as though they were wanting to sell those vehicles, but it has been over a week and I haven't heard from either of them . I am not going to beg somebody to sell me their junk so I am still looking. 

War Wagon how far would you be willing to travel? Man it sure would be nice to see your RC in person. I think that we should think if we are going to get everyone together then we need to know how far is everyone willing to travel.

I think that it is going to be too hard to get everyone to Texas should that be the choice of the meet. Especially for the guys north like War Wagon. I mean I am willing to travel to New Mexico, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana. I am not sure how that would work for any of the other guys. 

I think that General Sams and Shiloh are nice areas. I looked up the BVORR and it seems nice but its pricey and they are really strict specifically to a club that meets there every second and fourth weekend. If our meet were to take place during the clubs meeting we would not have full access to the park, and if we paid for a full weekend which would be 750 dollars I would think that it would suck not to have full access. DSO looks nice too, they are all about the same price per weekend. I am down for whatever.

I agree planning must begin, I however, have no idea where we should meet. But a date would be nice so I can start planning for vacation, that way I do not get stuck offshore.

Is it a parts issue or is there not enough bodies in the shop to work on it? Since May is a long time to wait for that thing to get worked on. I hope its worth it.

Well, I looked in to Uhaul. I was going to pick up a trailer, but first they wouldn't let me reserve one. They say that my truck cannot tow the Ramcharger. I have a 2010 Nissan Titan 5.6, so then i looked in to renting one of their trucks and trailers as a combo. Just to drive from Nevada back to Texas was 1279 dollars. I hope you can find it cheaper. My drive would have been 1600 miles.

Yeah I understand man. I have talked to one of the individuals that has a camo RC. They don't seem that interested to sell their vehicle. The one from Hempstead is the one that I am interested in.

How are you picking your RC up? The one that I purchased in Nevada I thought I was going to pick it up and drive it back. But after some cost analyst I figured it would be cheaper to ship the damn thing. It was going to cost over two grand to pick it up and bring it to Texas. Its only 1175 to ship it 1600 miles. That cheaper what it would have cost in fuel alone. 

Well I appreciate all the help. Right now this is going to be a daily driverish vehicle. I am putting it in almost kind of restored vehicle. I would much rather have the carpet for now. But I did find a place that provides carpet replacement. Just in case any one else is interested. The vinyl is nice but it doesn't come in the color of my interior. Also, in the event that I would need to sleep in the back the carpet would be much more comfortable.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with finding a factory quality rear compartment carpet replacement. I have a hole in mine that is about six inches in diameter.

Dodgeboy I have tried to use your link on RCC but it isn't working. I was wondering how much a 1984 Ramcharger 4wd FSM along with in-depth maintenance such as major engine overhaul would be. I believe that the engine book is one on its own. I would rather have these books if you have them. I have seen on ebay a mopar engine rebuild guide if you get something like that it would be great too. I don't know what ever you can find. Please let me know how much it would be.

My dad was in the Marines for 21 years so I never really stayed in one place until he retired and returned to his childhood home in Winnie, Texas.  After graduating high school I joined the United States Marine Corps as a Aviation Intermediate mechanic(rebuilt hydraulic and pneumatic parts). I left the Marines in 2007 and worked for a Gas Company as a mechanic, and several other little jobs here and there. In 2010, I was hired by Oceaneering in Houston and I have been with them. I am currently offshore in China right now and I am looking to return on November 15.

My first Ramcharger was a 1988 2wd with a 318. I loved the beast, but when she broke down I couldn't fix her. I have just two days ago bought one that looked just like her and I can't wait to get to the states to drive it around. It is a 1984 AW100 360/727 4wd.
