Ok I know this is a dodge formum. I have a 1976 F100 ford half ton. It has a Dana 44 front axle. I'm looking for inner axle axle shafts. The over all length for the passenger side inner shaft is 35". The inner driver side over all length is 19-3/4" If u have some your willing to part with maybe we can make a deal.
Well, if the 82 RC at the house has the same length axles you can have it. All you would need to do is help me swap the one out of the red truck in its place.
I should have some in the shop, I'll look to be sure... if nothing else if you want to replace Rons...
cool that works on both offers.
anyone have the metal bearing spacer that goes on the outside bearing? one of mine in the 93 is jacked up... think its what is causing my axle leak and I need to locate a replacement.
Ryan, I know I had some rotors out in the shop, will look & see if they are complete..

We think that he is referring to the bearing race. We have some good used ones but I doubt if that is the cause of a leak.
Well, went & looked & I have no rotors left to get races from... I do however have 2 long side axlevshafts with stub shafts on them.. 1 short side cad shaft... didn't measure em but they are available. ?.
That's awesome!!! :headbang: :headbang: But I really need the length. Please
not sure what I am looking for is a bearing race... here is a pic of the bad one.
Ryan, ill dig through the shop & see what i have left, i know i have a ziploc bag with the guts to automatic hubs... let ya know this evening....
yeah it could be something to do with the auto hubs... I have been considering getting manual ones for the trail rig, should probably break down and do that.
Have you tested to make sure the cad works? Might need to manually lock the cad & put manual hubs....
thrown it in 4H and it seemed to be pulling, but have not tested it on jack stands. I think its safer to just lock the cad and do the manual hubs, if I can find a pair reasonable priced.
Well, that way you are guaranteed to have a true 4 wheel drive... I tend to keep the passenger side locked & just lock the driver side when needed, but then I haven't done a lot of highway driving with mine...
Ryan, These are yours if you need em..... :headbang:

after looking at my parts, your is supposed to be open like that...
Ernest, I have 2-35" shafts with different stub shafts on em, I know I have at least 1 short side shafts but couldn't get deep enough in the pile to get it out to measure... yours if you need it.... coming this way anytime soon?
Ryan I can get a set of warn manuel hubs for 129.00 They are supose to be the metal ones. I can look at them if u want. Their new.
hmm I just ordered some mile marker 104 supreme's
they had decent reviews on amazon, but I bet the warns are no doubt better
:icon_scratch: :dontknow:
Yeah I'm running a set of them. I don't really like the material that their made of. But I'm going to see how long they last. I'm going to probably bring a spare set.
thats not the vote of confidence I was looking for
:crybaby2:
Sorry it's hard to not give warn it's props... :happy7: :laughing7:
Finally pulled out the FSM this morning and looked on the way out the door.
Appears to be a "spacer" so I guess that would be needed with or without the cad system.
Will, could you ship me one of yours if I give you my fedex account #? just have to fill out the paper work and put that down for the form of payment?
How much you want for it? I can't find a new one anywhere.
ok forgot in the last post...
Will are these the ones you can get, or can you get better than these?

After everyones input I don't think I will keep the mile markers.
Ryan, I only have 1 but its yours if you need it...
one is all I need.
I ran a set of the plastic locking hubs for several years but that truck rarely left the road.
Ryan, I think if you put manual hubs on the truck that spacer will not be used. That space should be taken up by the manual hub assembly. Our trucks with manual hubs don't have the spacer.
could be... I am going to return the mile marker and order the warn. I bought the new seals last night so I need to tear it apart either tonight or tomorrow and see what it looks like.
Let me know if you do need the spacer & I'll usps. Thats the only packaging I can do without driving over an hour to get to a fedex or a ups shipping location...
Ryan tare it down and send pics. I'm agreeing with Ron. U will not need the spacer. The auto hubs are different than the manuals.
going to finally get to this after work, so will let you know.
One question I have is the mile markers came in, what parts are suppose to be plastic? It all looked like metal to me. :icon_scratch: :dontknow:
Most companies make more than one grade of hubs. I have an all metal set of Mile Markers and I like them a lot.
well I got it tore apart, I am undecided on the spacer and if its needed... I am more worried at this point with my inner oil seal leaking and trying to replace that.
Started wondering if it would have been smarter to just bring some extra gear oil with me :icon_scratch:
My driver side seal leaks so I just stay outta mud & check oil every so often.... probably something I need to check soon..
driver side is a walk in the park... don't have to take the carrier out.
we could prob do it at hidden falls, I will know more about it if I ever get my carrier out
I got the passenger side all done. I need to get another seal to do the driver side... figured while I was in there since the driver side had a small drip.
The seals are about 20 bux locally. You don't have to take the carrier out to replace the driver side on CAD axles.... but that is the sneaky part that about 94 or 95 sometime they swapped the dif from the pass to the driver side... so when you read online its mostly backwards from our trucks.
So... after I get the right seal (driver side is intermediate axle shaft seal :tard: ) it went together pretty good.
I had a piece of all thread a few washers and nuts. pressed it in and got the axle all back together. Then realized I only had LSD gear oil and thats for the 2000 :angry5:
Oh well have to go by the parts house tomorrow anyways for the A/C gasket set. I replaced a few parts while it was open and need a few gaskets.
I did take a few pics of my hubs before the MM were installed. As you can see ( I think? ) you can see the spacer of my concerns. It is pushed back far enough to be in the bearings area and not the hub area. I left the spacers in on both sides and the hubs installed just fine.
A sad note, the hubs stick out to far to allow me to put the center caps back on now. :angry4: I guess I can live with that, these wheels won't be on there for all that long. Still trying to decide if I should put the older simi dry rot 33's back on it for the trip or keep the new 31's.
must be a dodge thing. I haven't found that on my ferd or chey...
I have a bunch of parts in the shop I'll look and see today just what I have and go from there.
