Post by: The War Wagon on July 14, 2014, 01:16:40 PM
HOW tough is it?  Does the axle need some disassembly & reassembly required?  :dontknow:

it is a very easy task... also you get to buy some more parts!  :sunny: (lockout hubs)

I think I also read somewhere, that locking the axle might actually be STRONGER, than replacing it with a one piece!  :o

Can anyone testify to this - positively OR negatively?  Thanks!

well I can't say for sure.. but I can say this..

1) I did the CAD delete and it was easy.
2) its nice to be able to have the manual unlock... say if you break your axle?
3) I broke the outer axle and the stub axle... did not do a damn thing that I have seen to the intermediate axle.

:evil6:

The breaking point is the outer stub shaft for sure. The intermediate shafts only weakness is where it attaches to the ujoint....if you blow the ujoint it can very easily destroy both....Ask Ryan  :steeringwheel:
