Title: Passengerside drop t-case to fit a 518 Trans
Post by: 79goat on March 02, 2016, 12:24:01 AM
I put a magnum 360/518 combo in my 79 rc and was thinking I could put my np208 t-case on it but I was wrong, I'm thinking that a 92-93 np241 will fit and I'm looking to buy one if anyone has one they will sell thanks

I might have a np208 out of a 85 3/4 ton.

Not sure if it would hook up correctly or not... and Richard may have already claimed it... not real sure anymore.

I do have 2 np241's but they are both in use and not for sale. I am sure we could find one in a junk yard if needed.

Not me but I think someone has dibs on it. Noah or Lance I believe.

Too many irons in the fire. Could use the windshield and top of the cab though.

don't waste your time on the windshield... just get a new one.. they are like 80-90 bucks not installed.

got a new one for the durango it was 208 installed and they even came to my work to install it.

I did what your thinking once when I was younger. it was a PITA to get it back in... and it cracked as we lifted it up to install it. It was still better than what I had so in it went and stayed.

Popsicle sticks and soapy water are your friend.

Yeah I have 2-208s and they won't fit from my understanding I will need a 241, my brother told me he has one in pieces and he thinks he has everything needed to build it so I will find out thisweekend

correct... With an overdrive 518 a NP241 is required .... The input on a 208 will not fit due to clearances in the tailhousing of the 518OD.
