flux core is not that bad. it is definitely different than running solid core wire but once you get use to it it is not that bad.

It works it just is a mess... also harder to grind. I just like pretty welds :)  I learned with flux core because I didn't know any better. If the machine is setup for gas there is no point in  not using it....

probably a good little box... make sure you get a bottle of C25 welding gas and proper wire from your local welding supply. Do not even mess with flux core unless you like messy welds. I like .035" for most projects, but .030" or .025" is better for small stuff like thin sheet metal

Well the Top Hand made it all look easy, however it was not with out some fresh rash/issues. The right rear shock decided it would leak copious amounts of oil most of the weekend. Then there was a late night bombing run that resulted in some fresh denting of the left rear fender and clutch linkage that apparently decided that would be a good time to become disconnected. Made it back to camp with out the clutch and fixed it the next day with copious amounts of well placed zip ties.

I also prototyped some nifty carburetor mods that worked amazingly well. The truck actually runs after hitting acorns and small pot holes now! Actually it runs amazing now All stumbling/dieing/ smoking /hard starting and rough running in crappy positions has been solved. It actually runs well enough that EFI is probably unnecessary. We will make a how too with pics/etc using Erics RC so that this knowledge can be used by others here soon

All in all a fantastic time was had. Sorry the rest of y'all couldn't make it the weather was amazing and the park wasn't too busy. Next time will come soon enough...

Got some carburetor mods in the works to help this beast run better in off camber and rough terrain... with any luck it may run half decent out there this time around .... :steeringwheel:

Anyone know what trailer this is?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DjYqRrUGRU

Also, it looks like there is now a cheater way up the final ledge on the fence line

I believe that the trail in the first video is Slither... where Eric broke a jeep ujoint once and Keystone begin puking ATF after failing to make it to the top

The fenceline is still a rough spot... Ernest did it on about the same line it is just a bit more dug out now... I would still not attempt it  :sign0135:

Well, unfortunately fellas, it appears as though I may be joining the list of "Too Broke to Attend". That could be $, or parts, or both. A routine trip to TA, and I figured I would give ole Keystone a crank to get the juices flowing. Cranks just fine, raise the hood, and bam, its staring me in the face. Guesses?

 and  :icon_salut: :great: to the first correct guess. The carnage...is hard to describe.

possum juices in the carby???  :dontknow:
