I got a replacement rear for my Dakota. Gonna replace the brakes and all related hardware. Then I have to do the heater core. THAT should be fun! After that, replace the tires and I'm ready for winter!!

Also picked up this topper for cheap, granted it came off a 99 model dodge and is white instead of vanilla like my truck, but fits pretty good.  :13:

Not being a body guy I chose to have my boys uncle do some body work on his first car. It just so happens that it is a 67 Mustang and needed floors, rear quarter panels and rear inner and outer wheel wells. As it so happens he has been working it for almost 3 years and still ain't done and my boy has graduated high school and joined the Navy and still has never driven it yet. The price he asked was ridiculously low and he still has to work to keep a roof and food on his table so no real big issue except he has had it in his garage longer than we had it in ours lol...

Is it a parts issue or is there not enough bodies in the shop to work on it? :017: Since May is a long time to wait for that thing to get worked on. I hope its worth it.

It's a, "He's-busy-as-hell" issue, because REAL 4WD shops less than 5 miles from downtown Pittsburgh are few & far between - & he's GOOD!

I bought ALL the parts, before taking it to him - shims, gaskets, bolts, nuts - you name it; it's ALL there!  Just waiting to be assembled!

5 mos. ain't long - it sat for SIX YEARS, before I got serious about it!  :o

Well, one of these times when he's home on leave or gets out, he'll have a nice 67 waiting for him. ;)

& he's GOOD!

And sometimes that's worth the wait. Just like my body guy. Full show quality, body off job, might take him 6 months but when you get it back it's better than factory could ever do. He did my dads 70 charger almost 20 years ago. Still looks as good today as it did when we got it back. The restoration business is a side job. He works at a local dealership. He's good and reasonably priced. Quote for my 79 RC, frame off, rotisserie body job, between $4-5k. That includes down to bare metal, any panels patched/replaced......
