Do Hummer wheels require spacers?

H1 Military Hummer Beadlocks do require spacers or recenters
H2 Civilian Hummer Rims do not

crazzywolfie

the h1 rims look so mean tho. 4x4klown on RCC had them on his old truck with 37's.

ProjectM880

Wow in that picture he is running re-centered 12-bolt hummer rims in the front and Not re-centered 24 bolt Hummer rims in the rear....

crazzywolfie

i never really notice till you mentioned it. both styles still look pretty good and mean to me

So here is what it looks like. thats with me standing on the trailer looking down. I need to get another straight one.

The fenders just barely clear now, so when its stressed it will rub. I plan to cut the front a bit and see what the back looks like.

Major issues with the pitman arm  :crybaby2:  ordered some spacers from rough country and hoping that does the trick.

here is the huge drum Richard was talking about... its crazy.

got the rear driveshaft all together and in. took it for a slow drive. something is making noise on the passenger side. ran out of time but I will have to jack it up and rotate the wheels see if I can duplicate it.

wheel spacers came in too, but waiting on the new lugs now

Did you notice a difference with the gears and locker?

ProjectPW

Those wheels look great. Good score  :great:

it was making a bad noise so I did not get to try it out much. it was more of an idle drive.... trying to practice not giving it gas  :evil6:

the locker chirps like crazy lol  granted the front axle is locked too so that did not help any.

I need to figure out what was making the sound on the back driver side now. Hopefully more time tonight to play.

I made my to do list, and its crazy long

Whats the noise sound like? Brakes? Axle?

rjtx667

sounded like an axle, but it could be a drum brake issue.

it was from the passenger side and only happened every once in a while, like during a rotation of the shaft.

I am going to double check the ujoints and straps tonight and see if I can figure anything out.

Called rough country and they are overnighting the correct ubolts for the rear axle so I will have them tomorrow.

I don't think it was / is the ubolts but they do need to get fixed. The springs are seated correctly and good.

I told Noah I am a little worried about the short drive shaft. I had to stretch it out to install it, but I am hoping its just from the driveshaft shop compressing it before putting the dust cover on it. Think I might get ubolts for the other driveshaft and bring it just in case  :laughing7:

I still need to do wheel spacers and some more work on the front bumper... on and I have decided I need to replace my hatch. not sure it will happen this trip but that hatch is crazy heavy (like made of lead) and I thought something was wrong. I moved the hatch off the 92 I parted out the other day... way lighter. I figure some spray paint to go from green to white should work  :laughing7:

Did you figure out the noise yet?

rjtx667

no I played with the winch and my new synthetic rope  :headbang:

I had to fix my battery setup and what not... have that case battery going it was low on water but got it going.

I plan to have a day of wheel spacers, brakes, and noises tomorrow.

I will keep you posted on what I figure out.
