i am a pretty big guy and the material seats just seem a bit too hard. plus the wobbling around while going around corners didn't help. i am thinking about just welding it back together. plus i wouldn't mind having room for 1 more person in the ramcharger. then wouldn't have to squish someone in the back seat if i am hauling my niece and nephew.

$290 later and the new sheet metal is now ordered. said it should be here in 2-5 days. ordered left and right floor pans and cab mounts. now i guess all i need to do i break the bolts on the old cab mounts loose and prepare the cab so that i can sandblast and weld stuff. also have to see about getting some of that plastic bed liner stuff for the floors so i should never have this issue again. might also have to visit my 91 and take the seat out of it. i think a bench seat up front might be nice. never really liked the bucket seats in the ramcharger. they have always kind of made me sore plus they see to put a bit more stress on the metal under the seat which is kind of why i tore into it. the seat was wobbling because one of the spot welds broke. 

thanks. for the most part the outside is not too bad. it is just the floor under the feet that is in rough shape. the area around the floor pans seems solid and has the factory white paint still on it. just trying to figure out if 72-80 cab mounts will work with my ramcharger. otherwise i think i will be ordering the parts from c2cfabrication.com. they are the cheapest i can find.

i think if am in the Dallas area i may just search for another ramcharger 87 or older to slide my engine and transmission into so i don't have to deal with emissions testing. engine and transmission work fairly good. just the body falling apart around it like most vehicles up here.

i just  figured it was about time i started my own thread for the ramcharger. it has come a fairly long way since i got it but has a even longer way to go if i plan on keeping it. the money i was planning on spending on fixing the plenum gasket and getting better gas mileage may end up getting spent on sheet metal this week.

one of my favorite mods. it is so nice to know the outside temp plus having the extra lighting is nice.

another one of my favorite upgrades was the backup lights. i can see pretty much everything when backing up.

now the next project. this is why i wouldn't mind getting a ramcharger from down south.

i am also not a big fan of the way they do business. i think i remember 1 episode where they sold Aaron's step dad a car and made over $10,000 on the deal. i understand they need to make money but i couldn't do that especially to family.

i think you need to fire the compressor up and see where it kicks off. just because the max psi is 200 psi doesn't mean it is going to fill the tank to 200psi then shut off. i would guess it might kick off at maybe 140psi or less since most air tools only require that 5 cfm at 90psi or less. like i said before i think you might be mixing up the flow rating with the max psi rating. i know i can't find the max psi of any of the oil/water separator on the lowes or home depot website but they do post the flow rating. i think most are rated for 150psi.

have you fired up the compressor and seen where it is setup to turn on and off? i bought a cheap oil/water separator with pressure regulator and it works great for me but mine shut off before at about 120-130psi. are you sure the max pressure on the cheap ones is 90psi? almost sounds like you might be confusing the flow rating with max psi. 

but you could use the bleeder tool on all your vehicles including your ramcharger whenever you get around to doing the brakes on it.

better make it $400 worth . my sister just payed me the $100 that my brother-in-law has owed me since last summer. my budget for parts seems to be getting a bit larger. now hopefully the other people that owe me money will pay me back soon and i will have another $200 to spend on my truck.

you should send some of that warm weather this way. then i could do more upgrades. i know my paycheck finally showed up in my account and it looks like this might be the week i am able to order parts as long as i can live on $300 for the next 2 weeks.

i wish. the power had gone out, the satellite was covered in ice and my 81 was on empty so i didn't really have enough gas to keep it charging the battery while i use my inverter to run the basics. just had to get out of the house. sitting in a empty, dark, quiet house by yourself sucks.

  would almost have to order that stuff by the tankerful with how much ice there was this morning. i know the trees would have surely appreciated it

Orangeville, Ontario in Canada. this is just crazy type of weather for this time of year. looks like the same crappy weather will be continuing  tomorrow. i also forgot to mention i broke 1 of my ice scraper while trying to clean the ice off.
