410 Gone

HTTP 410 · Gone

Thank you for coming. The lights are off now.

This site is retired — not moved, not down for maintenance. Gone, in the sense the spec means: on purpose, and for good.

To the people who read this

Someone typed this address on purpose, or kept a bookmark alive for years, or followed a link from a page that itself is probably gone by now. That is a generous thing to do with an afternoon, and it kept the lights on far longer than they would have been otherwise.

Thank you. Genuinely. Every visit was a person choosing to spend attention here, and none of it went unnoticed.

To the crawlers

410 is a final answer, not a rate limit. You can drop these paths from the queue and stop retrying — nothing behind them is coming back, and no amount of politeness on your part will change that.
