Seems like something is always breaking or tearing up and I don't have the money to fix it. Every time I think I've got everything fixed and everything's goin good and I can actually save a little money. Something else tears up, and I'm broke again, and can't finish everything. Anybody else stuck in this rut, dang it's getting old.
Story of my life. >:(
me too just got the stalling problem cured and then a major oil leak occured :angry5: lost all 5 quarts on the way home from work. time to spend more money : :angry4: not to mention both trucks need tires soon. it just never ends.
:icon_scratch:What caused you to loose that much oil? That thing had to look like a steam train going down the road
Oil pressure sending unit failed. There's a lot of pressure at that point so you loose a lot of oil goin down the road wasn't smokin goin down the road though just when I got to the house.
i nearly lost my exhaust today. driving down the road and all sudden the ramcharger got loud. it looks like the y pipe was rusting thin near the output and the pipe managed pop off but was caught by a piece of the y-pipe. i managed to kind of get it back on good enough to get home but i think i will have to weld it so it can't pop off again.
I've been there before. The exhaust fell apart on my green rc one day. Well got the massive oil leak fixed, hopefully everything will stay in order for awhile. I can't afford anything else to break.
i know the feelings on that stuff. :violent1:
Well I know now I'm not the only one with this problem
I just had my exhaust bolted up at ram jam..... it was bouncing all over the place on the trails, Richard had a good laugh.
I gave up and finally took the last sections off that were bouncing, so it just dumped under the truck.
I have an issue with the durango (can't say wife's durango as I still consider it mine, but she drives it all the time ) It looses coolant so that every 4-6 weeks it will start running hot, add more and its happy for a while again. kind of strange.
As of right now I've got two trucks that need tires, one needs a rear end, one has a tranny leak still, and a Toyota that needs a clutch. No end in sight :violent1:
I have a dana 44 out of the mexico 2000 rc I need to give away, but I don't figure ur close enough for that... Also not sure if it would line up good for you.
Granted that did not stop me on the 2000, I put a 2005 rear end in it... just took it to a welder and had them move the hangers about $120 bux. But this has LSD and rear disk :-)
$500 for a rear end + 120 to move perches + 75 for calipers, then new pads and hoses prob close to $800 all said and done. But that went from 3.55 gears to 3.92 and rear disk so that was a deal when you look at rear disk kits + a re-gear
Sounds like marriage and kids really. ;)

The Durango justs wants your attention.
Check out Ryan's exhaust pipes in the pic. LOL
Got my tranny leak fixed, thought I had the stalling problem fixed but no it still stalls. It's really frustrating me.
well some progress is better than none, or even backwards.
I had a new chapter in the never ending area... 3 years without car payments ended today. The durango just was no longer big enough with 3 kids and all the gear that goes with them.
We now have a suburban, its what the wife wanted. I tried the tahoe but she wanted more luggage room so she has it now. Its pretty nice minus the car payment. lol
i feel bad for you having to have a chevy parked in your driveway :laughing7:
im really hoping i can get my propblems fixed they are getting worse and i have a feeling its gonna quit all together soon.
if Dodge made anything bigger that would be there instead.
I told her flat out it was a selfish move on my part... if she has a new vehicle that she likes and wants
1) maybe she will take better care of it and stop letting the kids trash it
2) she is less likely to try and borrow my ramcharger when its finished
she laughed, but I don't think she knows how true both were.. I rather her beat that up than my baby.
Well the oil leaks fixed, the tranny leaks fixed, the stalling issues fixed, fixed a few other cosmetic things, now to see how long it goes before I'm fixing stuff again. Hopefully it will be awhile me and my wallet need a break.

they were poorly attached, just some cheap clamps that did not work great.... but it was a lot of fun that day :steeringwheel:
The next time we go it will be even better... I will have a trail rig that I don't care if it breaks :evil6: Granted I have a lot of work I need to do to it, and need to find me a winch.
ended up fixing a carb problem i didn't know i had :icon_scratch:. i thought i had an electrical problem.

Well I thought I'd be able to make it a while without fixing stuff but today the truck lost 2nd gear. Haven't looked into it yet.

Holy Crap Batman! Time for a little cleaning :brushteeth:
i think that must have mainly been from the 2 months that it sat when i first bought the ramcharger. now if you thought that was bad i should have taken pics of the 650 double pumper i am working on to replace the current carb. there was way more crap in the rear float bowl than that.
My Jeep seemed to be in that mode for a while. It started with a master/slave clutch cylinders going south and a replacement. Then a throwout bearing taking a dump causing a whole clutch kit to get installed. Still got a squeel on startup that I'm not certain of...... maybe a water pump, (got a new one from NAPA just in case) or it's the alternator. Could even be the idlers or power steering pump, fortunately I changed the idler and it made no difference, so I now have a spare as it were, the old one. Once I get the squeel corrected, it's on to the sound system. I need new speakers front and in the roll bar sound bar. Beyond that, I think I'm sound for a while.
ive been on a good run with my trucks latley until now. the front end in my 85 rc is about to fall apart. u joints are shot, the cad is messing up, rotors are warped and the thing is all over the road. its got some issues.
Its always something. We love our older vehicles (Dodges). But they will try our patience at times. Still working on the Chevy oof road truck, and the Samari is ready to wheel. Now to start on the 89 Dodge short bed stuck in the weeds. Guess that's going to be my summer/winter project. :icon_salut:

Yep, I've been living this for a long time. If it ain't the cars or trucks, it's the house. It seems like when I have the money to fix something, I don't have the time and when I have the time, I don't have the money...it never ends :disgust:
