<p>will do. definitely better and more convenient for around town and on the highway since it can adjust the AFR depending on load and TPS. still doesn't quite have the performance that well tuned carb has when you stomp on the gas but i almost wonder if that is because the computer just hasn't learned what to do yet. there is definitely a few things that are not self tuning. the 4x4 is already TBI so no point spending money on fuel injection for a vehicle that already has it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>well i figure i would share. finally decided to spend some serious money my my truck and bought fuel injection for it. other than the inline fuel pump that came with it crapping out less than 3 days after install and a bit of hesitation here and there it seems like it is running pretty good. definitely a lot nicer to run on the highways than it was with the carb. there is still sometimes a bit of hesitation off the line but for the most part it does pretty good. definitely seems like it might be better on fuel since the upgrade but hard to tell with how short i have had the system and really not sure how accurate the temporary fuel gauge is. got to wait til i get the new in tank pumps before i can start getting a real idea what type of fuel mileage i am getting. definitely not going to waste my time messing with a inline pump ever again. good thing i am learning this on my truck. would have sucked if i bought this for the elcamino and had such issues. would have also saved a bit of money if i ordered the kit without the pump and everything. oh well live and learn.&nbsp;</p>

and here i was thinking it was just an issue with my computer lol. when i would load the unsafe scripts that google is blocking everything went back to working normal before you fixed it. now it works like it should all the time.

take it easy. getting injured sucks. i am still recovering from nearly cutting the tip off my finger. the hardest part of recovering is taking it easy so things can heal as needed but sitting around doing absolutely nothing suck. i gained about 4-5lbs while healing but did sit around doing nearly nothing for 4-5 weeks which is approximately how long the doctor said it would take for the bone to heal. been about 2.5 months now and still babying it a bit even tho i am not really too afraid to used it now even tho there is still months of healing left before it is close to how it was.

i am almost certain i have seen people seal up the holes under the cowl with window screen and silicone or something like that to keep leaves from getting in. it also keeps leaves out of the vent on the driver side. if the a/c intake was that bad the vent on the drivers side is probably full.

either option i suggested is pretty easy. i would probably go for the solid state relay option which is pretty easy. the solid state relay works identical to a normal relay but doesn't mine being used at lower voltages. normal relays generally chatter when they start running below a certain voltage. do you know how many Richard Garza there seem to be in Texas? lol

that is a lot of debris getting in there. have you sealed up the air intakes with screen to prevent any more leaves from getting in?

are you wanting to upgrade the blower motor wire? you could possibly install a solid state relay. STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS RY330K is a solid state relay used in 96-00 caravans town and countries and voyagers. they should be able to power the fan motor perfectly by just wiring it in like a normal relay. you could also just run the output from the blower motor resister to the blower motor through the firewall right by the resister. should save the power from having to travel through all that wire. the solid state relay is still the best option. takes all the load off the stock a/c heater control components.

if you do decide to try getting the relays used they are on usually on the passenger side of the drivers side frame rail. they can be a bit of a pain to get at but will likely get it way cheaper from a auto recycler than the $20-30 they go for new.

they are becoming more affordable since they have been around for a while. plus it would make it more fuel efficient. i know sometimes people look at the short term but in the long term you may get the money back in fuel saved. plus it would make it more daily drive able if you wanted something like that.

that is part of the problem. i don't know anyone who has a 92-93 truck that i could even borrow a pcm from. there is none left at the junk yards either. they rust out and are crushed.

but with how nice carter was looking i would have probably been looking into a different swap than a normal 360. what about possibly swapping in a new hemi or something cooler?

well i have been avoiding this thing like the plag lately. been fighting with it so much this year that i just don't know what to do with it. i think i might have been having the pcm on it fail but really no way to test it. i have just been driving my 81 and elcamino instead. sitting on the fence about  replacing the pcm just so i will have a winter beater if it is the issue. i tried swapping out the crank position sensor and think i received a dud. ran crappier with the new sensor than with the old one. i also got a crap load of welding left that i should do to it but no point welding it up if i can't keep it running. got to love dilemmas like this. where do you call it quits?

the bumper looks good. almost going to have to do something like that for my 89 eventually. the list of work that i need to do seems to be getting longer especially with the addition of a 4th vehicle.

whats the 360 for? don't all your vehicles have good engines in them?

definitely looks like a weird vehicle. there is a pretty cool looking 70's dodge camper i see around town in the summer but i have never thought to take a picture of it.

i don't know how people drive small vehicles. as cool as the elcamino is it is almost too tiny compared to what i am use to. you put 2 kids in the front seat beside you and the cab is full. it also pretty short even compared to my truck.

as far as the el camino goes it is actually in pretty good shape.  it looks like it has had a frame off restoration at some point and is still in pretty good condition for the most part

look what followed me home lol. i know it is not a dodge but i think i like it. needs some electrical work but i think i am up to getting it done. anyone know of any good chevy/el camino forums to help me out if needed?

rear flex lines work up front especially if you are installing quite a bit of lift. we installed one on my buddies 91. he installed at least 5" or 6" of lift and the rear flex line was more than long enough to reach where the stock one was stretched to the max.

ya i get that. i am just literally out of space. if i bring anything else home i will have to start parking on the lawn or down the street. my 93 has been permanently parked on the street for the last couple month lol. i am glad i got good neighbors who don'tr really care that much.
