General Discussion / FYI

Hey Folks,
I wanted to take a minute and let you know that Brutal Off-Road has moved to a new location.
We are still a overly-friendly Mopar shop. Our new location is 4333 TX16 S. Suite 200 Bandera, TX.78003
I just posted in the parts for sale section, about 15 years of Mopar stuff that needs to go. The reason I'm posting here,
is to let you guys know that I have a pretty decent size parking lot (about 200 spaces) that would be great for a gathering,
if the need arises. If any of you are involved with any "helping orginizations" such as aid for Vets, first responders, or kids
and need a place to have an open air function, please let me know. If the need for a RC related function is desired, we would certainly
welcome that too!
Thanks,
James

Misc for Sale / Mopar parts
August 05, 2017, 09:18:15 AM
Hello everybody!
It's been awhile since I have had time to go "clubbing" on the web. Have been very blessed with too much work.
As some of you may know, Brutal Off-Road is a mostly Mopar oriented shop. We are open to anything with wheels, but mostly
Mopar.
Anyway, we have moved the shop to a larger location. In doing so, I have elimated over 40Klbs of misc axles, parts and such
from storage. However, I still have too much. I scrapped anything that was not Mopar, or hard to find. 15 years in one location
allows you to pack it in thick.
I have several small blocks, transmissions, manifolds for big and small block, transfer cases, axle shafts, sure grips,
open carriers, axle assys, a few parts trucks, and tons of trim and interior parts.
The majority of the parts are Dodge truck related, but there are a few late 70's ford parts as well.
Let me know if there is something you need, as making a list would take forever. Pricing will be more than scrap of course,
but fair to all. I need this stuff out of my way.
Thanks,
James 830-510-4622

I mentally wrestled with myself about wether the many months of barn dust needed to be washed off, or should it be left on, as nature's protective cocoon.... nature won. I did check the battery tender though.

Sound like you are getting to the fun part! Congrats on the tune!! Next thing you know, you'll have M/T E.T.s on the back w/12 lbs of air in 'em, front sway bar disco'ed and a pinion snubber out back!
You are on a very slippery slope, my freind! :headbang:

Wanted or Trades / Re: Still looking for wheels

Skip, the centers are built different that the typical steelie. If you were to remove the centers from the shell, the ends of the spokes would be exposed. It would not be a pie plate with triangles cut out. Each spoke is welded to the shell.

This is pretty close. The Jackman wheel is steel, not aluminum like these. I certainly would not pass them up either. I'd just powder coat 'em PW1 white.

Hey James, how is that Challenger build going?  Any new pics of it?  Last time I saw it, you and Tommy were putting in the roll cage.
Pretty good, still has a few new car gremlins. Keeps going into limp mode (back to idle) All the nannys are turned off, but it still goes from WOT to idle at random times on the track. Has'nt done it on the street. A few guys at SRT seem to believe it is a function embedded deep in the PCM that shuts the car down when it exceeds 1.38G in any direction. It thinks that it's having a wreck. Does it pull over 1.38G in 5th gear at 175+mph? I dunno. I do know, at the Texas Mile, it went limp (back to idle) just before the 3/4 mile mark and coasted thru the traps 1/4 mile later at 176mph.....

Still on the hunt for a set of 4 Jackman steel spoke wheels from the 70's. 8 lug, 16.5" by 9.75"
Ramwrench hooked me up with one, but I still need 4 more, for the crewcab to start  the "day 2" modifications.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the welcome!
RJTX667- For some reason, I cannot make the runfiles open. I spoke with our tuner in Cali, (who is waaay smarter than me)basically I don't have enough money in my software to read your particular files. Story of my life. :tongue3:
Don't give up just yet. He has a contact in the Dallas area to check with, to see if he can take a spin on your tune.
Glad to see the .net thing going, feels like RCC did in the early days.
