Just got back home from the trip. Was quite the adventure.

The truck did great and I LOVE the airbags!!!!  :13:

Wow what a difference they made. Anyone who tows should buy some. I think Eric is a believer from seeing them in action.

Whew.... Glad to hear the good news.  I was almost afraid to read this after seeing what happened to the 93 RC.

Well I think there is a pattern.

Had issues with the 2000 last time. So I fixed them and neglected doing much to the 93 though it did serve beyond its ability.

I do know I have a few small things to do to the 2000, mainly replacing the fuel pump before it pukes on me. And I also need to do a good vacuum leak test as I think I have one somewhere.

So what are your over all thoughts and opinions of the rear Airbags?

I want to do them on the future tow rig right off the bat.

I got the on board air installed for them... its cool  :13:

I like them and it made a huge difference... now I just need to upgrade the brakes a little more. need to see if I can get 3/4 or 1 ton brakes on front.

But I also kind of think it might be best to start looking for a dedicated tow rig, but then that gets into storage issues and back to needing land and a workshop.

Too many needs to little time and money lol.

I have some pics I will throw up soon.

You going to be around next weekend when I am down?

cool I will let you play with the setup.... now that the onboard air is working with a remote... its awesome.

I am going to get the trailer this weekend so will get to test it out a bit... but even empty you can watch it raise the truck a few inches.

Well the trip down to Noah's showed me I have some warped rotors in front. I recall the rotors in back were not great when I got the axle.

I did a little research and found a company called power stop. They create special after market disk and pads for different cars and situations.

They have an extreme version that is made for towing and hauling heavy loads. I decided to put these all around and see if it helps. I am also going to order the braided stainless steel lines as they say that makes a difference, but that will have to be after this.

Its really strange that my rear rotors are bigger than my front, I checked on the 2005 year model (which is what the rear axle came out of) and it was the same way. The rear rotor is just a little bigger than the front.

Noah helped me find a bad ground on the trailer and got the trailer brakes working, and that helps a lot... but I would like a little more stopping power, plus I can't stand warped rotors lol.

brake parts are in

I hope to work on it tomorrow and sunday.

Nice looking hardware, still baffles me how the rear disk are larger.

What brand setup did you use for your Airbags? I've started looking for kits for my 78 PW.

airlift. I got them on Amazon, I bought the 5000 plus series or whatever that was... they have internal bumpers to avoid damaging them if they somehow end up empty
